How a Common Sense Conservative President Might Have Handled the Deepwater Horizon Spill. . . .

Sure, we all know Obumble has completely, totally, and comprehensively botched every aspect of the response to the Deepwater Horizon spill. However, "OK, Mr. Smarty Pants. How would you guys have handled it?" Is a legitimate question. Except for maybe the Mr. Smarty-Pants part.
Suppose, instead of the World's Greatest Community Organizer, we had a common sense conservative president in the White House. How would she, or he, have handled the Deepwater Horizon Spill. I think it would have gone something like this.
1. The Jones Act would have been suspended immediately and indefinitely so that foreign offers of assistance could be accepted unconditionally.
2. An Executive Order would have gone out barring all executive branch agencies from interfering with clean-up efforts at the state and local levels.
3. Another Executive Order would have gone out ordering all executive branch agencies to provide any resources demanded by state and local agencies.
4. And if the president were really on-the-ball, he would get the country's top petroleum engineers and geologists together and give them three days to come up with best, second best, and fallback solutions to stopping the leak. All government resources would be made available to implement the solutions the Task Force arrived at.
5. When the beaches were safe and the hole was plugged, then and only then would the president turn his attention to BP's culpability. Also, the Task Force would be asked to submit contingency plans for dealing with future spills.
Realistically, I don't see anyone in the Mitt Palin - Sarah Romney Republican Party having enough vision to implement all of those. Maybe Chris Christie or Bobby Jindal, since they seem to have more leadership acumen. But I think we can all agree that those five steps would have been superior to the Obama response:
1. Shut down deepwater drilling and destroy 50,000 jobs.
2. Play Golf.
3. Refuse foreign offers of assistance until pressure from the right forces you to accept them.
4. Posture about kicking somebody's ass. Whine that you can't suck up the oil with a straw.
5. Play more golf.
6. Allow your regulatory agencies to shut down state and local efforts to contain the spill.
7. Shakedown BP for some money.
8. Push Cap and Trade Legislation.
9. Rename the Federal Agency in charge of regulating offshore drilling.
10. Play more golf.

Is the oil spill really Obama's responsibility? Yes, it is. . . .100% the "Federal Governments" responsibility. It is in the Gulf of Mexico and it is their problem.
During Hurricane Katrina it was a states issue and they had to invite the feds into help. Bush could not have trampled the states rights and rushed in, but Obama is 100% in charge of the oil disaster.

Lonnie Tinsley of El Reno, Oklahoma made a nearly fatal mistake last December 22 when he went to check on his grandma, Lona Varner.
Concerned that Lona hadn’t taken her medications, Lonnie called 911 in the expectation that an emergency medical technician would be dispatched to the apartment to evaluate the bedridden 86-year-old woman.
Instead, that call for help was answered by nearly a dozen armed tax-feeders employed by the El Reno Police Department.
Understandably alarmed — and probably more than a little disgusted — by the presence of uninvited armed strangers in her home, Lona ordered them to leave. This directive, issued by a fragile female octogenarian confined to a hospital-style bed and tethered to an oxygen tank, was interpreted as “aggressive” behavior by Officer Thomas Duran, who ordered one of his associates : “Taser her!”
“Don’t taze my granny!” exclaimed Tinsley. According to a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court, Tinsley’s “obstructive” behavior prompted the police to threaten him with their tasers. He was then was assaulted, removed from the room, thrown to the floor, handcuffed, and detained in a police car. At this point, the heroes in blue turned their attention to Lona.
The tactical situation was daunting; at this point, the police had only a 10-1 advantage over a subject who — according to Duran’s official report — had taken an “aggressive posture” in her hospital bed. The sacred imperative of “officer safety” dictated that the subject be thoroughly softened up in order to minimize resistance.
Accordingly, one of the officers approached Lona and “stepped on her oxygen hose until she began to suffer oxygen deprivation,” narrates the complaint, based on Lona’s account. One of the officers then shot her with a taser, but the connection wasn’t solid. A second fired his Taser, “striking her to the left of the midline of her upper chest, and applied high voltage, causing burns to her chest, extreme pain,” and unconsciousness. I know that cops have to be extremely cautious even in situations like this, but when you have ten cops against one granny I think the odds are in the cops favor.
Supposedly while this schizo granny was lying in bed and hooked up to oxygen she threatened one of the cops with a kitchen knife and said she'd snap his neck like a twig. I don't know about you, but I think even I could disarm an 86 year old oxygen deprived granny.
Luckily for this granny they only used their tasers instead of unloading their 9mm into her chest.

When Adolf Hitler was building up the Nazi movement in the 1920s, leading up to his taking power in the 1930s, he deliberately sought to activate people who did not normally pay much attention to politics.
Such people were a valuable addition to his political base, since they were particularly susceptible to Hitler's rhetoric and had far less basis for questioning his assumptions or his conclusions.
"Useful idiots" was the term supposedly coined by V.I. Lenin to describe similarly unthinking supporters of his dictatorship in the Soviet Union.
Put differently, a democracy needs informed citizens if it is to thrive, or ultimately even survive.
In our times, American democracy is being dismantled, piece by piece, before our very eyes by the current administration in Washington, and few people seem to be concerned about it.
The president's poll numbers are going down because increasing numbers of people disagree with particular policies of his, but the damage being done to the fundamental structure of this nation goes far beyond particular counterproductive policies.
Just where in the Constitution of the United States does it say that a president has the authority to extract vast sums of money from a private enterprise and distribute it as he sees fit to whomever he deems worthy of compensation? Nowhere.
And yet that is precisely what is happening with a $20 billion fund to be provided by BP to compensate people harmed by their oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Many among the public and in the media may think that the issue is simply whether BP's oil spill has damaged many people, who ought to be compensated.
But our government is supposed to be "a government of laws and not of men."
If our laws and our institutions determine that BP ought to pay $20 billion — or $50 billion or $100 billion — then so be it.
But the Constitution says that private property is not to be confiscated by the government without "due process of law."
Technically, it has not been confiscated by Barack Obama, but that is a distinction without a difference.
With vastly expanded powers of government available at the discretion of politicians and bureaucrats, private individuals and organizations can be forced into accepting the imposition of powers that were never granted to the government by the Constitution.
If you believe that the end justifies the means, then you don't believe in constitutional government.
And, without constitutional government, freedom cannot endure. There will always be a "crisis" — which, as the president's chief of staff has said, cannot be allowed to "go to waste" as an opportunity to expand the government's power.
That power will of course not be confined to BP or to the particular period of crisis that gave rise to the use of that power, much less to the particular issues.
When Franklin D. Roosevelt arbitrarily took the United States off the gold standard, he cited a law passed during the First World War to prevent trading with the country's wartime enemies. But there was no war when FDR ended the gold standard's restrictions on the printing of money.
At about the same time, during the worldwide Great Depression, the German Reichstag passed a law "for the relief of the German people."
That law gave Hitler dictatorial powers that were used for things going far beyond the relief of the German people — indeed, powers that ultimately brought a rain of destruction down on the German people and on others.
If the agreement with BP was an isolated event, perhaps we might hope that it would not be a precedent. But there is nothing isolated about it.
The man appointed by President Obama to dispense BP's money as the administration sees fit, to whomever it sees fit, is only the latest in a long line of presidentially appointed "czars" controlling different parts of the economy, without even having to be confirmed by the Senate, as Cabinet members are.
Those who cannot see beyond the immediate events to the issues of arbitrary power — vs. the rule of law and the preservation of freedom — are the "useful idiots" of our time. But useful to whom?

The kids filed back into class Monday morning. They were very excited. Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on productive salesmanship.
Little Sally led off: "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30," she said proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."
"Very good," said the teacher.
Little Jenny was next:
"I sold magazines," she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events."
"Very good, Jenny," said the teacher..
Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn.
The teacher held her breath ...
Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467," he said.
"$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling"
"Toothbrushes," said Little Johnny.
"Toothbrushes," echoed the teacher,
"How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"
"I found the busiest corner in town," said Little Johnny, "I set up a Dip & Chip stand, I gave everybody who walked by a free sample."
They all said the same thing, "Hey, this tastes like dog crap!"
Then I would say,"It is dog crap. Wanna buy a toothbrush?"

MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee County Board spent part of the day debating a measure that would call for the county to boycott doing business with companies in Arizona.
Communities around the nation have passed similar measures in response to a law in Arizona that makes it a state crime to be in the country illegally.
There was an odd moment during the debate when Supervisor Peggy West stood up and seemed to be confused about her geography. "If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. 1,300 prison inmates got homebuyer tax credits
According to the associated press:
Nearly 1,300 prison inmates wrongly received more than $9 million in tax credits for homebuyers despite being locked up when they claimed they bought a home, a government investigator reported Wednesday.
The investigator said 241 of the inmates were serving life sentences.
In all, more than 14,100 taxpayers wrongly received at least $26.7 million in tax credits that were meant to boost the nation's slumping housing markets, said the report by J. Russell George, the Treasury Department's inspector general for tax administration.
Some taxpayers received the credit for homes purchased before the tax break was started. In other cases, multiple taxpayers improperly used the same home to claim multiple credits. Investigators found one home that was used by 67 taxpayers to claim credits.
"This is very troubling," George said. "Congress created and modified the homebuyer credit to stimulate the economy and help taxpayers achieve the American dream, not to line the pockets of wrongdoers."

Here are just some of the other issues found in the report:
1. 2,555 taxpayers were given $17.6 million for homes purchased before the dates legally allowed.
2. For one address, 67 taxpayers claimed the credit on the same home.

4. Over 10,000 people were granted the tax credit on homes used by other taxpayers to claim the same credit.

Wind Farms Paid to Shut Down When the Wind Blows. . . .

Starting in 2011, (next year folks), your W-2 tax form sent by your employer will be increased to show the value of whatever health insurance you are given by the company. It does not matter if that's a private concern or governmental body of some sort. If you're retired?
So what; your gross will go up by the amount of insurance you get.
You will be required to pay taxes on a large sum of money that you have never seen. Take your tax form you just finished and see what $15,000 or $20,000 additional gross does to your tax debt. That's what you'll pay next year. For many, it also puts you into a new higher bracket so it's even worse.
This is how the government is going to buy insurance for the15% that don't have insurance and it's only part of the tax increases.

Spy Drones to Patrol U.S. Skies?

This is the type of thing that inevitably happens when you have government having this kind of military type of power, judge.

I can understand using the drones on the borders, but the next thing you know it they will be used to be chasing speeders and following American's who this administration disagrees with. These drones have infared/thermal/night vision that can see inside our homes. And remember that during the 2010 census they took the gps coordinates of every house in American. Growing up without a cell phone
If you are 30 or older, you might think this is hilarious!
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were. When they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning....Up hill...Barefoot...BOTH ways? yadda, yadda, yadda
And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on my kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!
But now that I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, I can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia!
And I hate to say it, but you kids today, you don't know how good you've got it!
I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!!
There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter - with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox, and it would take like a week to get there! Stamps were 10 cents!
Child Protective Services didn't care if our parents beat us. As a matter of fact, the parents of all my friends also had permission to kick our ass! Nowhere was safe!
There were no MP3's or Napsters or iTunes! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the record store and shop lift it yourself!
Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished, and then the tape would come undone rendering it useless. Cause, hey, that's how we rolled, Baby! Dig?
We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called, they got a busy signal, that's it!
There weren't any freakin' cell phones either. If you left the house, you just didn't make a damn call or receive one. You actually had to be out of touch with your "friends". OH MY GOD !!! Think of the horror...not being in touch with someone 24/7!!! And then there's TEXTING. Yeah, right. Please! You kids have no idea how annoying you are.
And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your parents, your boss, a bookie, a drug dealer, the collection agent... you just didn't know!!!You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!
We didn't have any fancy PlayStation or Xbox video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your screen guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!!! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen... Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE!
You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel!!! NO REMOTES!!! Oh, no, what's the world coming to?!?!
There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little rat-finks!
And we didn't have microwaves. If we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove! Imagine that!
And our parents told us to stay outside and play... all day long. Oh, no, no electronics to soothe and comfort. And if you came back inside...you were doing chores!
And car seats - oh, please! Mom threw you in the back seat and you hung on. If you were lucky, you got the "safety arm" across the chest at the last moment if she had to stop suddenly, and if your head hit the dashboard, well that was your fault for calling "shot gun" in the first place!
See! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled rotten! You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980 or any time before!

There were no MP3's or Napsters or iTunes! If you wanted to steal music, you had to hitchhike to the record store and shop lift it yourself!
Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio, and the DJ would usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up! There were no CD players! We had tape decks in our car. We'd play our favorite tape and "eject" it when finished, and then the tape would come undone rendering it useless. Cause, hey, that's how we rolled, Baby! Dig?
We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called, they got a busy signal, that's it!
There weren't any freakin' cell phones either. If you left the house, you just didn't make a damn call or receive one. You actually had to be out of touch with your "friends". OH MY GOD !!! Think of the horror...not being in touch with someone 24/7!!! And then there's TEXTING. Yeah, right. Please! You kids have no idea how annoying you are.
And we didn't have fancy Caller ID either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your parents, your boss, a bookie, a drug dealer, the collection agent... you just didn't know!!!You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister!
We didn't have any fancy PlayStation or Xbox video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like 'Space Invaders' and 'Asteroids'. Your screen guy was a little square! You actually had to use your imagination!!! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen... Forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE!
You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel!!! NO REMOTES!!! Oh, no, what's the world coming to?!?!
There was no Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday Morning. Do you hear what I'm saying? We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little rat-finks!
And we didn't have microwaves. If we wanted to heat something up, we had to use the stove! Imagine that!
And our parents told us to stay outside and play... all day long. Oh, no, no electronics to soothe and comfort. And if you came back inside...you were doing chores!
And car seats - oh, please! Mom threw you in the back seat and you hung on. If you were lucky, you got the "safety arm" across the chest at the last moment if she had to stop suddenly, and if your head hit the dashboard, well that was your fault for calling "shot gun" in the first place!
See! That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled rotten! You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980 or any time before!

I guess we can say good-bye to the First Amendment of Free Speech and the Bill of Rights as we have always known it. If the FCC's desires to regulate the Internet, we will eventually lose our right to Privacy, Free Speech and it will be bye bye to our ability to interact with whomever we please.
A huge portion of my phone bill is in the form of "Fees, Charges and Taxes" already. The FCC is just looking for a way to "regulate" and then tax the internet. And, once again telling the fools it's for their own good and protection.

More than 100 nurses admitted to researchers that they had taken part in 'terminations without request or consent'.
The legal term for this is murder.
Since its legalisation eight years ago, euthanasia now accounts for 2 per cent of deaths in Belgium — or around 2,000 a year.
The researchers found that a fifth of nurses admitted being involved in the assisted suicide of a patient.
But nearly half of these — 120 of 248 — also said there was no consent.
Of course, those are only the ones foolish enough to admit to homicide.
It is likely many nurses "under-reported" their involvement for fear of admitting an illegal activity, the study said.
Dr. Peter Saunders, director of Care Not Killing, is trying to keep euthanasia out of Britain's already highly hazardous version of socialized medicine. As he remarks,
"We should take a warning from this that wherever you draw the line, people will go up to it and beyond it."
Especially when the people involved are acting on behalf of increasingly unrestrained Big Government.

WEST PALM BEACH — Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Maurice Ferre says the U.S. spends an "absurd" amount on end-of-life care and should gradually move to a universal health system in which the government controls costs by setting prices for medical procedures and capping expenditures based on age and medical condition.
Speaking to The Palm Beach Post editorial board today, Ferre said he would have voted for the health care overhaul approved by Congress and signed by President Obama this year as "a step in the right direction." He later said the "Medicare-for-everyone" system he favors should be phased in over about 25 years.
Ferre, 75, is a former Miami mayor running a low-budget Democratic primary campaign against U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek of Miami and Palm Beach billionaire Jeff Greene.
Answering a question about the long-term solvency of Social Security, Ferre said eventually raising the retirement age should be considered. He then went into a discussion of Medicare costs, saying a large amount of money typically is spent in the final three months of a person's life.
"I've already written in my will that I don't want you to go spending half a million dollars to keep me alive for three more months all tubed up with all kinds of liquids going in and out of my body and my mind slowly slipping away. It's a torture chamber," Ferre said.
"Now you say, well, that's a 'death panel.' Well, you know what, when you get to be 85 or 90 years old, you're going to die. And I'm sorry, you call it, Sarah Palin, what you want, but the fact is that it is absurd for us to be spending the types of money we're spending to extend life three months."
Asked what he'd do as a Senator to control such costs, Ferre said: "I would absolutely say that this is the cap on how much is available for you to spend at age 90, 87, with a heart condition of this sort, with diabetes of this sort, two legs missing and, you know, this is how much is available for you to spend. And you spend it any way you want."
He added: "My logic tells me that it is illogical to spend half a million dollars to extend a diabetic person who has two legs cut off, that we spend half a million dollars to tube up that person and extend their lives six months."

The popular tax break for mortgage interest, once considered untouchable, is falling under the scrutiny of policymakers and economic experts seeking ways to close huge deficits.
Although Congress last year rejected the White House’s proposed cut to the amount wealthier taxpayers can deduct for home mortgage interest payments, the administration included it again in its 2010 budget — saying it could save $208 billion over the next decade.
And now that sentiment has turned against all the federal red ink — and cost-cutting is in vogue — Democrats on President Barack Obama’s financial commission are considering the wisdom of permanent tax breaks such as the mortgage deduction and corporate deferral. Calling them “tax entitlements,” senior Democratic lawmakers have argued they should be on the table for reform just like traditional entitlement programs Medicare, Social Security and Medicaid. ...
Although the backers of the mortgage interest tax break defend it as a key incentive for people to own rather than rent their homes, some say that’s not so. A Brookings-Urban Tax Policy Center study found that the mortgage interest tax break costs more than $100 billion annually but does little to encourage the middle class and less wealthy to buy homes. “I’m not sure that we need to subsidize homeownership at all through the tax system,” said Eric Toder, the study’s lead author.

Bet you probably haven't heard this yet. . . .The democrat majority in congress now wants to remove the interest deduction on our mortgages.
I would think that if they wanted to stimulate the economy they would bring back the interest deductions on purchasing a new car and on credit cards, but oh no these bast*rds want to screw us over even more with our mortgages by removing this deduction. I don't know about you, but last year we paid in over $8,000 in interest on our home. Can you imagine what you will owe at the end of the year if this interest deduction is removed.
If your home is almost paid for this is no big deal to you, but you need to think of your children that may be close to purchasing their first home. If this congress would just cut spending and we got to keep more of our money each year this might be feasible. . . .but you know this money hungry congress will NEVER cut spending and entitlements.
This will mean that you will be paying much more to the government every year than you do now and no matter how you dice it or slice it. . . .it will be a tax increase.
I thought Obama promised that "I won't raise your taxes one dime"

Will Our Money Go To Hamas?
According to Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) at biggovernment.com:
We are $13 trillion in debt. We will be $19.6 trillion in debt come 2015. Yet, the President wants to send $400 million for “humanitarian aid” to the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, an area controlled by the terrorist organization Hamas. As well intentioned this offer may be how can we be sure our money will not be used to fund terrorist activities? Well, we can’t.
If the money given to the late PLO chief Yasser Arafat is any indication, our dollars will be used to fund more terrorist activities and line the pockets of those in charge. Moreover, people have been sentenced to prison for funneling money to Hamas under the guise of “humanitarian aid,” so it’s a bit peculiar that our government would send money under the same conditions.
Before one dime is handed over to the Palestinians, Congress needs to do its due diligence to ensure there are safeguards in place to prevent money from being used for terrorist activities.

Bernie Madoff is spending 150 years in prison for a billion dollar ponzi/pyramid scheme. What is Social Security? A trillion dollar ponzi/pyramid scheme. Social Security depends on there always being someone "new" to pay into the system to continue paying the current recipients. This is exactly why cities all across America are going broke.
Just take a look at the Dallas Police Department. The DPD has thousands of retirees drawing a hefty pension. The Dallas Police Department is now laying off, so there is no "new" blood paying into their retirement fund. So you multiply this with almost every Police and Fire Department across the country and you will see why the cities are short millions of dollars.
Now Obama wants to spend $50 billion emergency taxpayer dollars to bailout cities. When will this madness end?

ATLANTA - Governor Perdue was back in Georgia Wednesday after a two-day trip to Cuba. The aim of the trip was to lay the groundwork to expand Georgia exports to the communist nation, where the government makes all the buying decisions.
Georgia farmers and agribusiness leaders got a chance to see one of the markets where their products might end up and they were stunned by what they saw.
Phil Green, the CEO of Visions Telecom, went on the trip and he said his communist counterpart led him to believe the Cuban government isn't interested in widespread access to the internet, and like China, wants to control access to information.

Official who oversaw ballots in 2008 race says hospital birth certificate non-existent

A college instructor who worked as a senior elections clerk for the city and county of Honolulu in 2008 is making the stunning claim Barack Obama was definitely not born in Hawaii as the White House maintains, and that a long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate for Obama does not even exist in the Aloha State.
Tim Adams, a former senior elections clerk for Honolulu, now teaches English at Western Kentucky University.
"There is no birth certificate," said Tim Adams, a graduate assistant who teaches English at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Ky. "It's like an open secret. There isn't one. Everyone in the government there knows this."
Adams, who says he's a Hillary Clinton supporter who ended up voting for John McCain when Clinton lost the Democratic nomination to Obama, told WND, "I managed the absentee-ballot office. It was my job to verify the voters' identity."
He says during the 2008 campaign when the issue of Obama's constitutional eligibility first arose, the elections office was inundated with requests to verify the birthplace of the U.S. senator from Illinois.

"I had direct access to the Social Security database, the national crime computer, state driver's license information, international passport information, basically just about anything you can imagine to get someone's identity," Adams explained. At the time, there were conflicting reports that Obama had been born at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, as well as the Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children across town. So Adams says his office checked with both facilities.
"They told us, 'We don't have a birth certificate for him,'" he said. "They told my supervisor, either by phone or by e-mail, neither one has a document that a doctor signed off on saying they were present at this man's birth."
To date, no Hawaiian hospital has provided documented confirmation that Obama was born at its facility.
