Islamist Group March for 'Full Sharia Law in Britain'

Islamist extremists will march through London tomorrow calling for full implementation of sharia law in Britain.
Supporters of the Islam For The UK group, led by extremist Anjem Choudary, will converge on Westminster for the march, from the House of Commons to Downing Street and Trafalgar Square.
Choudary is a founding member of the British wing of the outlawed extremist group Al-Muhajiroun. Islam For The UK has pictures on its website of British landmarks including the House of Parliament with minarets and Islamic motifs added. It also said Buckingham Palace should be turned into a mosque.
The group calls for an end to liberalism and claims Britain needs to prepare for an Islamic revolution. Choudary is also a supporter of the banned preacher Omar Bakri, who was to give a video-link address from Lebanon to a meeting in Millbank to publicise the rally. Last night the group's website was apparently hijacked by a far-Right group advocating a "guerrilla war".
Patrick Mercer, Tory MP and ex-Army officer, described Choudary's plans as "extremely distasteful". He added: "If anyone thinks those views are a step forward they are seriously deluded. They are repellent and repulsive."

Earlier this year the UK banned Michael Savage an American Talk Show Host just because they didn't agree with what they consider his extremist views . . . . . and now they are going to allow these Muslims calling for an Islamic revolution to march through the streets of their country. Aren't these people inciting racial/religious hatred? I wonder if the Al-Muhajiroun group would be OK with Christians marching in an Islamic country?
Isn't there are enough countries in this world with Sharia Law in place. Why don't these maniacs go there and leave the British alone. They don't want your laws in their Country.

Mark of Stupidity. . . .

There was little to disguise what these two had been up to moments before police pulled them over.
Would-be burglars Matthew McNelly and Joey Miller's masterplan had one tiny flaw --their 'disguises' comprised of masks drawn on their faces with permanent marker pen.
American police stopped their car after a witness reported two men 'with painted faces' were trying to break into a flat in Carroll, Iowa.
The caller added that the pair were wearing dark, hooded tops and had driven off in a big white car.
Police soon spotted a 1994 Buick Roadmaster matching the description and stopped it at gunpoint.
Inside they found the two men, both of whom had what appeared to be masks, beards or moustaches scrawled on to their faces.
McNelly, 23, and Miller, 20, were both charged with attempted second-degree burglary and released on bail.
McNelly was also charged with drunk driving.
The pair are due in court next month. Hopefully the disguises will have washed off by then.

An Israeli doctor said to a medical conference, "Medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a kidney out of one person, put it into another and have him looking for work in six weeks!"
The German doctor stood up and said, "well medicine in my country is so advanced, we can take a lung out of one person and put it into another and have him looking for work on 4 weeks"
The Russian doctor got up and said "My country is even more advanced, we can remove half a heart from one person, put it into another and have them both looking for work in just 2 weeks!"
Not to be outdone, the American doctor stood up and addressed the conference, "Well" he said "My country is so far advanced in medicine, we can take an Asshole out of Chicago, put him in the White House, and have half the country looking for work in 24 hours!"

Obamacare Bill $2.24 Million Per Word. . . .

It runs more pages than War and Peace, has nearly five times as many words as the Torah, and its tables of contents alone run far longer than this story.
The House health care bill unveiled Thursday clocks in at 1,990 pages and about 400,000 words. With an estimated 10-year cost of $894 billion, that comes out to about $2.24 million per word. .
And for some members, that may not be enough.
A “robust” public option can’t be found in the bill. Neither can the word “doctor” – save for a few references to degrees. No “cost curve” is bent. No “blue pill” is dispensed.
“Death” and “taxes” are both in there, but “death panel” is not.
The text defines dozens of words and phrases, including “family” (“an individual and . . . the individual’s dependents”), “health insurance coverage,” “exchange-eligible individual” and “Indian.”
And for those who cry “read the bill,” beware. There are plenty of paragraphs like this one:
“(a) Outpatient Hospitals – (1) In General – Section 1833(t)(3)(C)(iv) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395(t)(3)(C)(iv)) is amended – (A) in the first sentence – (i) by inserting “(which is subject to the productivity adjustment described in subclause (II) of such section)” after “1886(b)(3)(B)(iii); and (ii) by inserting “(but not below 0)” after “reduced”; and (B) in the second sentence, by inserting “and which is subject, beginning with 2010 to the productivity adjustment described in section 1886(b)(3)(B)(iii)(II)”.
The section deals with “incorporating productivity improvements into market basket updates that do not already incorporate such improvements,” if that helps.
Optimistic lawmakers say it could take a week just to get through the bill’s text.
“I’ll have to call an emergency meeting of my staff and drop the customary procedure of me reading and my staff not reading,” joked House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.), who famously told filmmaker Michael Moore that lawmakers “don’t read most of the bills.”
“It’s one thing to read it,” said Rep. Lee Terry (R-Neb.), a lawyer who voted against the first version of the bill on its way through the Energy and Commerce Committee. “It’s another thing to understand it when it’s written in legalese.”
When given the bill’s dimensions, Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-N.Y.) noted that some members are faster readers than others.
“That’s one afternoon for Barney Frank,” he said.
Republicans aide said a print-out of the bill weighs more than 19 pounds and stands nearly nine inches tall.
North Carolina Republican Rep. Patrick McHenry, 34 years old and a few inches taller than 5 feet, said the bill could act as a ”booster seat.”
Democrats say the essence of the bill isn’t much different from the three sister bills they moved through committees this summer, which came in around 1,000 pages.
If you read those, they say, you pretty much know what’s in this one.
“It’s almost a complete certainty that we have already discussed and debated almost every element that’s in this bill,” said Rep. Steve Rothman (D-N.J.)
McHenry took issue with the notion that the 2,000-page bill hasn’t changed much from the earlier, 1,000-page versions. To prove the point, he pulled out a Democratic-written summary of the changes.
All eight pages of them.
Asked why the House will vote on the roughly 400,000-word bill in a week when it takes a congregation a year to read the 80,000-word Torah at a synagogue, Rothman, who is Jewish, exhibited the wisdom of a Talmudic scholar.
“It only takes a year because you read one section a week,” he said.
But Republican Rep. Joe Barton, who is Texan, said the bill is “about four reams of paper” that add up to the American public “getting reamed.”

350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it's the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change.
•How do we get the world on track to get to 350?
We need an international agreement to reduce carbon emissions fast. The United Nations is working on a treaty, which is supposed to be completed in December of 2009 at a conference in Copenhagen, Denmark. But the current plans for the treaty are much too weak to get us back to safety. This treaty needs to put a high enough price on carbon that we stop using so much. It also needs to make sure that poor countries are ensured a fair chance to develop.
•Isn't America the biggest source of the problem? What about China and India?
Yes—America has been producing more CO2 than any other country, and leads the industrialized world in per capita emissions. Even though China now produces as much CO2 annually, the US still produces many times more carbon per person than China, India, and most other countries. And America has blocked meaningful international action for many years. . . .
China and India and the rest of the developing world need to be involved. But since per capita they use far less energy than the West, and have been doing so for much shorter periods of time, and are using fossil fuels to pull people out of poverty, their involvement needs to be different. The West is going to have to use some tiny percentage of the wealth it built up filling the atmosphere with carbon to transfer technology north to south so that these countries can meet their legitimate development needs without burning all their coal.

Owning a Pet Worse than Driving a SUV. . . .

They're faithful, friendly and furry — but under their harmless, fluffy exteriors, dogs and cats, the world's most popular house pets, use up more energy resources in a year than driving a car, a new book says.
In their book "Time to Eat the Dog: The Real Guide to Sustainable Living", New Zealand-based architects Robert and Brenda Vale say keeping a medium-sized dog has the same ecological impact as driving 10,000 km (6,213 miles) a year in a 4.6 liter Land Cruiser.
Calculating that the modern Fido chows through about 164 kg of meat and 95 kg of cereals a year, the Vales estimated the ecological footprint of cats and dogs, based on the amount of land needed to grow common brands of pet food.
Instead they recommend keeping "greener," smaller, and more sustainable pets, such as goldfish, hamsters, chickens or rabbits.

I had a former employee call me earlier today inquiring about a job, and at the end of the conversation he gave me his phone number. I asked the former employee if this was a new cell phone number and he told me yes this was his “Obama phone.” I asked him what an “Obama phone” was and he went on to say that welfare recipients are now eligible to receive (1) a FREE new phone and (2) approx 70 minutes of FREE minutes every month. I was a little skeptical so I Googled it and low and behold he was telling the truth.

Presumed Consent vs Explicit Consent. . . .

Sunstein's proposal regarding marriage is hardly the only controversial section of his book. WND reported last week that in the same book, Sunstein defended the possibility of removing organs from terminally ill patients without their permission.
He also strongly pushed for the removal of organs from deceased individuals who did not explicitly consent to becoming organ donors.
Sunstein and Thaler discussed multiple legal scenarios regarding organ donation. One possibility presented in the book, termed by Sunstein as "routine removal," posits that "the state owns the rights to body parts of people who are dead or in certain hopeless conditions, and it can remove their organs without asking anyone's permission."
"Though it may sound grotesque, routine removal is not impossible to defend," wrote Sunstein. "In theory, it would save lives, and it would do so without intruding on anyone who has any prospect for life."
Sunstein continued: "Although this approach is not used comprehensively by any state, many states do use the rule for corneas (which can be transplanted to give some blind patients sight). In some states, medical examiners performing autopsies are permitted to remove corneas without asking anyone's permission."
Sunstein's example of medical examiners removing corneas, however, applies only to patients who are already declared deceased.
After defending the position, Sunstein conceded the "routine removal" approach "violates a generally accepted principle, which is that within broad limits, individuals should be able to decide what is to be done with and to their bodies."
Still, Sunstein did not add that the removal of organs from a living individual should be banned.
Also in the same book, CNSNews.com previously noted Sunstein argued for removing organs from deceased patients who are not registered as organ donors, a policy not without precedent. Spain and some European Union countries have been debating accepting a law of implied consent.
Writes Sunstein: "A policy that can pass libertarian muster by our standards is called presumed consent."
"Presumed consent preserves freedom of choice, but it is different from explicit consent because it shifts the default rule," he writes. "Under this policy, all citizens would be presumed to be consenting donors, but they would have the opportunity to register their unwillingness to donate, and they could do so easily. We want to underline the word easily, because the harder it is to register your unwillingness to participate, the less libertarian the policy becomes."
Sunstein continues: "Although presumed consent is an extremely effective way to increase the supply of organs available for transplant, it may not be an easy sell politically. Some will object to the idea of 'presuming' anything when it comes to such a sensitive matter. We are not sure that these objections are convincing, but this is surely a domain in which forced choosing, or what is referred to in this domain as mandated choice, has considerable appeal."

How difficult is it to cite the clause that enables Congress to impose a mandate on its citizens to spend money on anything but a tax?
Well, as it turns out, pretty darned difficult. The interstate commerce clause doesn’t apply because Congress doesn’t allow for interstate commerce in health insurance. The “general welfare” clause has never applied to individual mandates, which is why neither Leahy or Pelosi will invoke it publicly. If they trot that out in front of the Supreme Court, they’ll essentially be arguing that the federal government has the authority to impose any kind of mandates at any time on anyone in the country, which makes the limitations of power in the Constitution meaningless — and by extension, makes the Supreme Court meaningless as well. Good luck getting them to buy into that policy.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today signed into law a bill that requires buyers of handgun ammunition to leave thumbprints and detailed personal information with registered ammo sellers, as well as put restrictions on online bullet sales.
“Assembly Bill 962 reasonably regulates access to ammunition and improves public safety without placing undue burdens on consumers,” Schwarzenegger said in a letter explaining his decision.
The new restrictions will take effect Feb. 1, 2011.
Authored by Assemblyman Kevin de Leon, D-Los Angeles, the bill bans direct shipping to Californians who buy bullets via mail order or over the Internet.
Instead, any ammo they buy would need to be picked up at a licensed handgun ammunition dealer, similar to the way guns are currently bought and sold.
The bill doesn’t require a waiting period to pick up ammunition as there is when purchasing firearms. All handgun ammunition must be kept behind store counters.
Ammunition that can be used in both pistols and rifles — like the popular .22 caliber round used by target shooters and small game hunters — fall under the new restrictions.
The bill also would require that those purchasing ammunition provide photo ID and a thumbprint.
The information would be kept on file and made available to law enforcement agencies

This is no joke. If this bill becomes law, it will be the duty of the U.S. secretary of health and human services or the state governments overseeing federally mandated health-insurance exchanges to ensure that you can get your health insurance at the DMV.
You also will be able to get it at Social Security offices, hospitals, schools and “other offices” the government will name later.

The Stermer family and several others spent 344 consecutive days living in what is known as Priest's Grotto, a "massive underground sanctuary," in the Ukraine during World War II, Brian Handwerk reported for National Geographic News in 2004. No serious illnesses or deaths occurred during that time, despite the cave dwellers' having "no special experience or equipment," Handwerk wrote.
The Stermer family's inspirational story might have stayed a secret if not for the efforts of Chris Nicola, a "veteran caver" who was part of a team that explored Priest's Grotto in 1993, according to the 2004 issue of National Geographic Adventure Magazine.
Nicola's book, "The Secret of Priest's Grotto," written with Peter Lane Taylor, was named one of the Best Books for Young Readers in 2007.

Shulim Stermer, 84, recounted his experience from his home in Montreal in 2004. "The Germans took half the town to a concentration camp, and the rest had to go to a ghetto," he said. "That meant to the slaughter house." Rather than comply, his mother told Shulim's brother to find a place for the family to hide in the forest; he discovered the cave.
The Stermer family's inspirational story might have stayed a secret if not for the efforts of Chris Nicola, a "veteran caver" who was part of a team that explored Priest's Grotto in 1993, according to the 2004 issue of National Geographic Adventure Magazine.
The discovery of "two partially intact stone walls and other signs of habitation" within the Grotto piqued his team's interest. Locals told the team about a group of Ukrainian Jews that had lived in the caves, but whether there were any survivors remained a mystery. Nicola devoted the next decade of his life to figuring out the full story, until he finally "located six of the cave survivors, most of them members of the extended Stermer family."
In an interview with National Geographic Adventure, Nicola explained what made the cave dwellers' story so special. "The chance of a Jewish person surviving at all [in western Ukraine] was less than 5 percent. But what made this story different, and what is rarely seen in any Holocaust survival story, is how these families stayed virtually intact," Nicola is quoted as saying.
Nicola was also astounded by some of the artifacts found in the cave, particularly the millstone, which was too heavy for him to move. "Yet Nissel Stermer carried it on his back for three or four miles," Nicola explained. "That millstone was their life. They used it to grind grain to make bread, which was the main part of their diet."
Nicola's book, "The Secret of Priest's Grotto," written with Peter Lane Taylor, was named one of the Best Books for Young Readers in 2007.

Further Proof of the Need for Energy Independence
The British newspaper The Independent reported today that Gulf oil producers were negotiating with Russia, China, Japan and France to replace the dollar in pricing oil with a basket of currencies.[1] According to the Wall Street Journal, Arab oil officials have denied the story, but even the possibility of such a talk weakens the dollar and renews fears about its continued viability as an international reserve currency.[2] In fact, today a United Nations official called for a new global reserve currency to replace the dollar and end our “privilege” to run up huge deficits.[3] We can see the effect of this in the price of gold, which hit a record high today in response to fears about the weakened dollar.[4]
All of this is a result of our out-of-control debt. This is why we need to rein in spending, and this is also why we need energy independence. A weakened dollar means higher commodity prices. This will make it more difficult to pay our bills – including the bill to import oil.
In his book Architects of Ruin, Peter Schweizer points out that the Obama administration is focusing primarily on “green energy," while ignoring our need to develop our domestic conventional energy resources.[5] We’re ignoring the looming crisis caused by our dependence on foreign oil. Because we’re dependent on foreign nations for our oil, we’re also at their mercy if they decide to dump the dollar as their trade currency. We can’t allow ourselves to be so vulnerable to the whims of foreign nations. That’s why we must develop our own domestic supplies of oil and gas.
Though the chant of “Drill, baby, drill” was much derided, it expressed the need to confront this issue head-on before it reaches a crisis point.

All of this is a result of our out-of-control debt. This is why we need to rein in spending, and this is also why we need energy independence. A weakened dollar means higher commodity prices. This will make it more difficult to pay our bills – including the bill to import oil.
In his book Architects of Ruin, Peter Schweizer points out that the Obama administration is focusing primarily on “green energy," while ignoring our need to develop our domestic conventional energy resources.[5] We’re ignoring the looming crisis caused by our dependence on foreign oil. Because we’re dependent on foreign nations for our oil, we’re also at their mercy if they decide to dump the dollar as their trade currency. We can’t allow ourselves to be so vulnerable to the whims of foreign nations. That’s why we must develop our own domestic supplies of oil and gas.
Though the chant of “Drill, baby, drill” was much derided, it expressed the need to confront this issue head-on before it reaches a crisis point.
Bottom line: let’s stop digging ourselves into debt and start drilling for energy independence.

Things Are Not Always What They Seem. . . .
RUSH: Which we passed out to you because you didn't show up in your doctor coats. I think more than half of these people showed up in regular business attire. Where did they get the white coats? The doctors show up, half of them aren't dressed appropriately, and where did they get the white coats for the doctors, and white coats that fit? Did they get them from the kitchen staff? Where did they get 'em? Central casting? This is why I was wondering why in the world these people are even doctors. Maybe they are just actors.
The New York Post: "In a heavy-handed attempt at reviving support for health-care reform, the White House orchestrated a massive photo op to buttress its claim that front-line physicians support Obama. A sea of 150 white-coated doctors, all enthusiastically supportive of the president and representing all 50 states, looked as if they were at a costume party as they posed in the Rose Garden before hearing Obama's pitch for the Democratic overhaul bills moving through Congress. The physicians, all invited guests, were told to bring their white lab coats to make sure that TV cameras captured the image. But some docs apparently forgot, failing to meet the White House dress code by showing up in business suits or dresses." Or maybe they were just too embarrassed to dress that way for a photo-op.

Pelosi says new tax is 'on the table'

A new value-added tax (VAT) is "on the table" to help the U.S. address its fiscal liabilities, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Monday night.
Pelosi, appearing on PBS's "The Charlie Rose Show" asserted that "it's fair to look at" the VAT as part of an overhaul of the nation's tax code.
"I would say, Put everything on the table and subject it to the scrutiny that it deserves," Pelosi told Rose when asked if the VAT has any appeal to her.
The VAT is a tax on manufacturers at each stage of production on the amount of value an additional producer adds to a product.
Pelosi argued that the VAT would level the playing field between U.S. and foreign manufacturers, the latter of which do not have pension and healthcare costs included in the price of their goods because their governments provide those services, financed by similar taxes.
"They get a tax off of that and they use that money to pay the healthcare for their own workers," Pelosi said, using the example of auto manufacturers. "So their cars coming into our country don't have a healthcare component cost.
"Somewhere along the way, a value-added tax plays into this. Of course, we want to take down the healthcare cost, that's one part of it," the Speaker added. "But in the scheme of things, I think it's fair look at a value- added tax as well."
Pelosi said that any new taxes would come after the Congress finishes the healthcare debate consuming most lawmakers' time, and that it may come as part of a larger overhaul to the tax code.
The Speaker also emphasized that any reworking of the tax code would not result in an increase in taxes on middle-class Americans.

There is a lot of buzz going around Washington concerning sneaking a new "National Tax" called VAT into the HR-15 (The National Health Insurance Act). The "Value Added Tax" is a European-style value-added tax that would substantially raise the price of everything from autos to restaurant meals.
According to DNRonline: The VAT will be assessed in addition to existing income and sales taxes now being paid by individuals, families and businesses. As presently designed, the VAT is a tax built into the price of a product to be paid by every consumer.

The Value-Added Tax will be imposed by the government on the value added at each stage of a product’s production. The VAT is hidden, a tax added by the vendor to the price we pay for goods and services. It is not openly itemized like a sales tax. It is not a tax to replace existing taxes. Currently, this tax is proposed to be 5 percent. The VAT in Great Britain, as well as other European nations, is now approaching 20 percent.

IOC Rejects Obamalympics. . . .
RUSH: Oh, man, oh, man, oh, man. The worst day of Obama's presidency, folks, the ego has landed. The world has rejected Obama! Chicago, the least number of votes, first elimination in the round of voting for the Olympics in 2016. When you stop to think about it, folks, doesn't it make sense? Our president, "Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm. Barack Hussein Obama! Mmm, mmm, mmm," had been running around the world for nine months telling everybody how much our country sucks. He's been running around the world apologizing for the United States of America. Why would anybody award the Olympics to such a crappy place as the United States? Oh, man, folks. I wonder how victory looks to Obama now that it has escaped him and passed him by. He doesn't want to win in Afghanistan but he certainly wanted to win in Chicago. I think the world apparently wants the guy to fail. Because Obama has failed, the world rejected Obama first of all the people, the world rejected Michelle (My Belle) Obama, the world rejected The Oprah.
