'Jesus Scopes' in Line of Fire. . . .

According to topconservativeblogs.com

Trijicon, the company that produces the military rifle scopes with Biblical inscriptions, will end the decades-old practice and provide the military with modification kits to remove the markings, ABC is reporting . General David Petraeus also addressed the matter this morning, calling the matter “disturbing and a serious concern for me.”

That’s a markedly different response from the Central Command spokesman who minimized the significance of the New Testament inscriptions this week, comparing them to “In God We Trust” on currency. . . .

2COR4:6 = 2 Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads, "For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ."

JN8:12 = John 8:12. That reads, "When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.' "

If there were a reference to the Koran, this would not be an issue. I am sick and tired of having to bend to eveyone ELSE's beliefs! If you are offended by this weapon, don't carry one! Nowhere in the Constitution is there listed a right to never be offended! This inscription is put there by the manufacturer, not the government. This just isn't an issue!

You would think that our military leaders would be more worried about finding muslim extremist that have infiltrated our military than worrying about a few letters in a serial number. . . .

I guess my idea to dip every bullet that goes to Afghanistan and Iraq in some good ole bacon* grease is now out of the question. . . .We sure don't want to do anything to offend "islam" the enemy that we are currently fighting. . . .I'm surprised snipers are still able to zero in on the enemy and blow their brains out.

*Muslims do not eat pork because it is Haraam to eat the meat of the swine which is believed to not be clean.
