Comrade Obama: Information Is Bad

When the head of the government openly proclaims that he wants us to be less informed, the country has obviously gotten itself into serious trouble:
In his latest swipe at the modern media environment, President Obama used a commencement speech over the weekend to bemoan the onslaught of information in the digital age and suggest that the gusher of news out there is too much of a good thing. …
Speaking at Hampton University in Virginia, the president raised alarms when he said "information becomes a distraction, a diversion" that is putting "pressure on our country and on our democracy."
A distraction from what, if not blind obedience to an agenda that will destroy our country socially, politically, morally, and economically? How could any legitimate leader want his people to be less informed?
For an answer, here's a quote from another infamous statist, Joseph Goebbels:
If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.
Unsurprisingly, B. Hussein singled out cable television (i.e., Fox News), radio (Rush et al.), and blogs (like this one), outlets for information that has not been twisted into lies by servile political obedience, unlike the liberal establishment media, which has reduced itself to a tasteless joke.
He's identified his enemies, and begun the Alinskyite process of demonizing them. Silence coercively imposed by the State will inevitably follow.

Obama sure liked this "new" technology when it helped get him elected. . . .When Obama claims that "information becomes a distraction, a diversion" it makes you wonder if a Chavez-Style media crackdown is coming soon to America?
