This week the US Senate found for the first time since slavery was abolished in 1865 (144 years ago) to pass a resolution apologizing for Slavery. . . . "fundamental injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery."
This is the just the FIRST step towards Reparations. . . .You mark my words it is coming and they will not stop until they bleed this Country dry. . . .
And before I even published this new post this came out today:
According to the WASHINGTON (AFP) - "But in a step that has angered some African-American lawmakers, the measure (apology) takes pains not to fuel the push for the US government to pay reparations to the descendants of African slaves."
They NEVER wanted just an apology. . . .they want reparations and are saying "SHOW ME THE MONEY". . . .
See what happens when you start apologizing you just anger more and more people. Slavery was a very dark time in our history, but if the Senate wanted to apologize why didn't they start with the American Indians that were run off their land and brutalized for hundreds of years? I guess they figure a few casinos and inadequate health and dental care should erase those wounds. . . . .

Update: According to Newsmax.com "California Lawmaker Seeks Apology for Chinese Ancestors - California's Chinese immigrants helped build ships, levees, irrigation systems and the transcontinental railroad. They worked in farm fields and mines and helped develop the abalone and shrimp industries.
For their efforts, they were rewarded with special taxes, forced out of towns and denied the right to own property, marry whites and attend public schools. They also were subjected to violence and intimidation and denied equal protection by the courts. In 1882, they were made the targets of the nation's first law limiting immigration, the Chinese Exclusion Act.
. . . .and according to Granitestudio.org - California Assemblyman Paul Fong (D-Mountain View) is seeking federal reparations for the discrimination suffered by Chinese immigrants coming to the United States in the 19th and early 20th century.
Damn, everyone's has been mistreated somewhere down the road, so I guess now the Indians, Mexicans, Women, Irish, Japanese, Jews, Gays, Straights, Northerners, Southerners, etc. etc. will all want their apologies, so when will this Congress have time to fix this f**ked up economy?
Right actions in the future are the best apologies for bad actions in the past. . . . Tyron Edwards
