Whole-Body Imaging Scanners . . . .

"The (full body) scanners are able to detect weapons and explosives in places security screeners are not allowed to touch in physical pat-down searches, such as the groin area and even body cavities where items could be concealed."

If all the standard security measures had been practiced on Christmas Day, Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab would never been allowed onto the plane in Amsterdam and headed towards United States.
He had no passport. He bought a one way ticket with cash the day of the flight. He had no luggage and was on a terrorist watch list. All the red flags, alarms, bells and whistles should have gone off. They need intelligent people at the security check points. If they can't figure out basic rules and follow them, they sure won't be able to work a complex piece of technology. Body scanners should be a last resort.

Here is a perfect example of Government run Healthcare Indian style - My 79 year old Mother is having some heart/breathing issues and has been going for treatment for months at the Talihina Indian Hospital in Oklahoma. Last week she finally had her appointment with a heart specialist.
After her examination this heart specialist told her that in the past he would have immediately admitted her into the hospital and been able to find out more quickly what was wrong with her. . . .but unfortunately this doctor's hands are tied and is basically having to try the "hit and miss" approach with my mothers life - run test, change medicine, run more test, change medicine again. . . .
This hospital has the most wonderful dedicated doctors and dentists, (many are former US Military) but when you depend on the government for funding the results can be devastating.
If this is happening with my Momma now, what are you going to do when it happens to yours or to one of your children?
After observing my Momma on Christmas with no strength and constant wheezing - I just hope I don't have to go "John Q" or "Postal" on them to get her the proper treatment she needs. . . .

The suspect, identified by a member of Congress as Abdul Mudallad, is a Nigerian national who claims to have ties to al-Qaida.
It was unclear today why the man wanted to attack the flight arriving from Amsterdam.
The plane, an Airbus 330, landed about noon in Detroit, and was carrying 278 passengers on a flight from Amsterdam. There were no major injuries.

Many Christians believe that these parables served primarily as a means of condemning the powerful hypocrites and the inhuman nature of the class system in general. However, since class warfare is actually embraced as a key weapon of the statist, the story of Jesus Christ is all too often usurped for completely different purposes by socialist liberals. Cal Thomas continues:
To the president, that means the spirit of government taking from the productive and giving to the nonproductive. To him, Jesus was a socialist or perhaps an early Robin Hood. Any first-year seminarian (if the seminary is a good one) could destroy this flawed exegesis.
Jesus of Nazareth was not a symbol. Neither was He just a good teacher, as some who do not fully accept His teachings about Himself like to claim. As Paul the Apostle put it, "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - of whom I am the worst" (1 Timothy 1:15).
The call of Scripture is to do for other people as we would like to have done unto us, but that call is personal, not corporate. That's because only people can be compassionate. A government check too often brings dependence and a sense of entitlement. A personal touch builds relationships horizontally with others and vertically with God.
What those "wise men" brought were symbols - gold, frankincense and myrrh. What they symbolized was the grandeur of the baby who would become a man and who, in the words of John the Baptist, would "take away the sins of the world" (John 1:29).
It's a little more than infuriating that the left at once strives to both drive the Christ-the-Savior story out of Christmas, and contrive a Jesus-as-Community-Organizer story for their own progressive devices. Jesus was not about politics. Jesus was about salvation.

As for the tenth commandment, I doubt Jones read that far.
Liberal decay won't have to advance much further before we hear moral authorities declaring that killing people who own property you want to steal doesn't contradict the sixth commandment, because God's love for the lazy and shiftless outweighs blah blah blah.
If we had not forgotten that it is wrong to steal, we would not be faced today with a kleptocratic government so grotesquely massive that it threatens to crush society and reduce both Britain and the USA to 1980s Albania.

Copenhagen Socialist Wealth Redistribution Conference. . . .

President Obama spoke at the Copenhagen Socialist Wealth Redistribution Conference also known as the climate conference, and in essence threw America under the bus. In his short speech he said the science on climate change is settled, thereby ignoring all of the recent information that indicates how the data used to arrive at that conclusion is being called into serious doubt.
For somebody who constantly chastises his critics as using the "tactic of fear" to question his policies he was sure using it in his short little speech this morning. He said the time to act is now, with not a moment to spare. Anybody who thinks he will not do an end run around the Congress using his energy and environmental czars, along with the supreme imperial power of the EPA, are deluding themselves.
In his words this morning he proved himself to be a hardcore man-made climate change truther.
In true liberal fashion, he begged those attending to give up their citizen's wealth to those less "fortunate" countries, which is exactly what countries like Zimbabwe and Venezuela want to hear. Since they have driven their countries into the ground, why not have the rest of the world join them there?
His strong support of the junk science related to climate change leaves no doubt however that his faith in this false religion will not be shaken.
Obama, addressing his counterparts at Copenhagen, reiterated the U.S. offers, called for transparency from other countries in how their emissions curbs are checked, and said the United States would continue to fight global warming regardless of what happened at the summit in Denmark.
"The time for talk is over," he said.

Chavez Struts at Copenhagen Spectacle. . . .

Thank you Hugo Chavez, for disabusing all but the most obtuse of the notion that Dopenhagen is about anything other than imposing global socialism:
President Chavez brought the house down.
When he said the process in Copenhagen was "not democratic, it is not inclusive, but isn't that the reality of our world, the world is really and imperial dictatorship … down with imperial dictatorships" he got a rousing round of applause.
When he said there was a "silent and terrible ghost in the room" and that ghost was called capitalism, the applause was deafening.
But then he wound up to his grand conclusion — 20 minutes after his 5 minute speaking time was supposed to have ended and after quoting everyone from Karl Marx to Jesus Christ — "our revolution seeks to help all people … socialism, the other ghost that is probably wandering around this room, that's the way to save the planet, capitalism is the road to hell … let's fight against capitalism and make it obey us." He won a standing ovation.
For knuckle-dragging thugs like Chavez to take everything you own and to micromanage every aspect of your existence is the objective of Copenhagen and the environmental movement in general.

You might think this is no big deal, I mean Copenhagen is part of Scandinavia, right? And Scandinavia is cold, right? But Copenhagen normally has a mild climate, and has only seen a white Christmas (Solstice for you atheists who celebrate pagan holidays because they're more rational) seven times in the last century.
There is such a thing as the Gore Effect.
The so-called Gore Effect happens when a global warming-related event, or appearance by the former vice president and climate change crusader, Al Gore, is marked by exceedingly cold weather or unseasonably winter weather.
For instance, in March, 2007, a Capitol Hill media briefing on the Senate's new climate bill was cancelled due to a snowstorm.
On Oct. 22, Gore's global warming speech at Harvard University coincided with near 125-year record-breaking low temperatures. And less than a week later, on Oct. 28, the British House of Commons held a marathon debate on global warming during London's first October snowfall since 1922.
I really don't get how people can't believe in God. There's just way too much of this kind of thing going on in the world, if you pay attention to it. Maybe Al Gore should try reading God some of his poetry.

Proposed laws mandate unfunded liabilities that will pillage the State of Texas’ rainy day fund of $9 Billion, likely redistributing this savings to other economically irresponsible states and forcing increased Texas state taxes;
Proposed laws unfairly punish the state of Texas, and other producer states that provide the United States with energy resources such as oil and gas;
Proposed laws will unfairly burden the citizens of Texas and our children with long term debt and oppressive restrictions on individual freedom;
Proposed laws encourage the federal government to use coercive methods, such as reallocation of federal funds, to punish states that choose to use legal and peaceful methods to oppose such laws;
Proposed laws are blatantly unconstitutional and undermine the agreed upon Constitutional contract that guaranteed limited federal powers;
Proposed laws elicit a design to reduce the citizens of Texas, and other states, under absolute despotism and dependence through forced loss of economic power and unsustainable debt;
The citizens of Texas remind representatives of the United States that the Constitution is a legal contract between the federal government and the states. Therefore, the citizens of Texas demand that the federal government limit its powers to those authorized in the Constitution.
As citizens of Texas, we hereby proclaim, the absolute right and resolve to support and encourage state actions to abolish unconstitutional federal laws including, but not limited to, Cap and Trade and Health Care. We acknowledge the right, and duty, of state governments to use any means necessary to guarantee freedom from oppressive federal laws; including nullification, legal challenges, and as a last resort and after many attempts to persuade, dissolution of ties with an unlawful, and therefore tyrannical, federal government.

Texas Declaration of Non-Dependence
We, the citizens of the great state of Texas, reassert that Texas and our people are free. In order to guarantee this freedom for future generations, we hereby petition the federal government to acknowledge and act upon its legal obligation to uphold the Constitution which binds the federal government by: limiting the powers of the federal government to enumerated powers (Article 1, Section 8); and designating all other powers to the states and the people (10th Amendment).
In recent times, the federal government has proposed new laws that seek powers not authorized by the Constitution. These desired powers unfairly punish the state of Texas and our citizens by redistributing Texas property to other states and federal politicians while fundamentally limiting Texas’ legal right to govern locally. To prove this, let facts be submitted to a candid world:
Concerning Cap and Trade Legislation:
The state of Texas will lose an estimated $1.26 Billion per year;
The citizens of Texas will lose much more in increased cost of gas, food and other goods;
Politicians associated with the federal government will gain economic and political power to arbitrarily limit freedoms and assess new taxes;
The need for Cap and Trade is based upon unproven, corrupt and likely false global warming data;
Representatives of the United States have ignored opposition to Cap and Trade; the current administration has ridiculed those opposed to Cap and Trade as deniers while refusing to release raw data on relying only on a consensus of corrupt science;
Concerning Health Care Legislation:
The state of Texas will lose an estimated $2.75 Billion in new Medicare responsibilities;
The citizens of Texas will lose much more in federally mandated fees estimated at $15,000 per family; and reduced quality of health care;
Politicians associated with the federal government will gain unprecedented economic and political power by nationalizing one sixth of the U.S. economy;
The need for Heath Care legislation is built upon a faulty premise that a government run program is somehow constitutional, will be deficit neutral and will result in better services than the current private system;
