IS AMERICA ON THE SLIPPERY SLOPE TO VENEZUELA?

Hugo Chavez has destroyed Venezuela. He started by nationalizing banks and industry, then moved on to controlling the media and silencing voices of opposition. Over time, Chavez has a put a vice grip on the throat of Venezuela and its citizens. Once the wealthiest country in South America, Venezuela is now rationing water and electricity. After years of usurping power and taking liberty from Venezuelans at the point of a gun, Chavez is now arresting judges and other officials who do not go along with his brutal desires.

Could America be on the slippery slope to Venezuela? Obama and his henchmen have nationalized major manufacturing, the banking and insurance industries, our nation’s health care, and has plans for government control of our nation’s energy. Obama and the Dims have been hard at work trying to discredit any and all opposing voices. When did you ever hear a US President attack individual citizens who oppose them as Obama did this week with Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck? Listen to the vitriol and hate that comes from the left and their accomplices in the mainstream media towards the tea party movement. The left has falsely accused the Tea Party of racism, extremism and violence when those things simply are not true and cannot be proven! The left is using Saul Alinsky tactics of trying to single out their opposition and destroy them by (almost) any means necessary.

Americans are proud of their First Amendment rights! The left hates the First Amendment except when it is they who are exercising it. They have shown stupefying hypocrisy in crying over signs critical of Obama at Tea Parties when the signs at their protests against Bush were obscene! The only violence at any Tea Party event was when black SEIU thugs beat a black man in a wheelchair selling US flags and called him racist names. But this is how socialists operate. Their ideology is flawed and leads to economic disaster and they must ultimately utilize force to maintain control.

Is it coincidence legislation has been proposed giving Obama control over the internet and the ability to impulsively imprison American citizens without Miranda rights or habeas corpus? Sounds like something straight out of Havana or Caracas, doesn’t it? Obama was raised on communist ideology and surrounded himself by America-hating terrorists, preachers and politicians. He, Castro and Chavez are ideological brothers.

The question remains if and when the American frog jumps out of the boiling water. Will it jump if Amnesty for illegal aliens is rammed through a la ObamaCare? What if Tea Party leaders start being arrested in the middle of the night and hauled off to internment centers? What if the internet is shut down and bloggers opposed to Obama’s regime are arrested? Will Americans fight or accept their sad, sure ride on the slippery slope to communism?
