Big Government Spends Its Way Toward Anarchy. . . .

According to Van Helsing at moonbattery.com:

What happens when our liberal rulers waste so much money on useless bureaucrats' salaries, entitlement handouts, green energy boondoggles, and general senseless moonbattery that there isn't enough left to fund the legitimate functions of government? Oregonians are finding out:

The district attorney in Multnomah County, the state's most populous area with over 710,000 residents, announced recently that it can no longer prosecute dozens of crimes thanks to an ever-shrinking budget.

Caught with small amounts of heroin, cocaine or methamphetamine? It's a ticket. So's a hit-and-run accident. Small-time shoplifting? You'll still get arrested, but it's still just a violation.

For these and other lesser crimes, the district attorney will simply refuse to prosecute. …

Other crimes which the county will adjust to violation level include trespassing on non-commercial property, "theft or forgery in the second degree," harassment, interfering with a police officer, interfering with public transportation, resisting arrest (non-injury) and criminal mischief in the second degree.

Too bad they're unlikely to stop punishing those who refuse to pay their taxes. But I'm forgetting, for Obama's top henchmen, they already have.

Ironically, as Big Government expands to the point of monstrosity, streets often degenerate into anarchy — as can be seen in the prototype for the Obama Regime, Hugo Chavez's Venezuela.

I guess when our great nation is in utter chaos maybe we'll find out exactly what Obama meant by a "civilian national security force". Remember during the campaign of 2008 Obama stated "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

All you NRA, Second Amendment loving Americans better "keep the powder dry". We don't have a clue what is in store for us and it just might be left up to us to protect our families and property.

---------------------------------------

What does keep powder dry mean?

This phrase is used to warn of the possibility of upcoming danger. As gunpowder will not ignite when wet, you would want to be sure to keep your powder dry in case of an attack, so as not to be defenseless. Similar to "don't let your guard down," a person would use this phrase to infer one should stay prepared.
