Well evidently it is not "one of the best-known sentences in the English language" by the current President of the United States who has previously referred to himself as a "constitutional law professor". . . . .In my opinion - Obama left out the most important words in the Declaration of Independence. . . ."endowed by their Creator". . . .Without our "Creator" means we would have to put our trust in man and you can all see how that is working out for America. . . .
-------------------------------------------
"Endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights," is the phrase made famous by the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Its intent was to express the truth that every person is a creation of God and has certain rights, simply by virtue of their being created by God. Therefore, those unalienable rights or privileges cannot be transferred or taken away by any man. Those rights as conceived in the Declaration, are "Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." ~ wiki.answers.com
